I wonder if you, like me at times have carried things that were just too heavy for you… or things you just were not ready to carry but were left with no other choice but to drag it with you…\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I came across this story the other day and was so humbled… I wonder if you too will think of things you have been carrying.. and more importantly I wonder if you would dare to lay it down so that you can get the rest Christ desires to give you… \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Far, far way there were two priests who went on a<\/span>
\nlong walk that lasted many days. They were<\/span>
\nwalking through a forest when they came upon a<\/span>
\nwide river. On the banks of the river, there<\/span>
\nstood a young woman. She told them that she<\/span>
\nneeded to cross the river but that she was<\/span>
\nfrightened that she would be swept away by the<\/span>
\ncurrent. She asked for their help.<\/span><\/p>\n

The older of the two priests immediately lifted<\/span>
\nthe woman up into his arms and crossed with her to<\/span>
\nthe other side.<\/span><\/p>\n

The younger priest followed. \u00a0 He was astounded<\/span>
\nby what had just happened. He thought to himself,<\/span>
\n‘we’re not allowed think about women, talk about<\/span>
\nwomen and certainly not touch women and yet my<\/span>
\nolder brother lifted her and carried her across<\/span>
\nthe river’. He couldn’t believe it, he didn’t<\/span>
\nunderstand it. But he did not say a word.<\/span><\/p>\n

The two priests kept on walking in silence. The<\/span>
\nyounger priest could not stop thinking about what<\/span>
\nhad just happened.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finally, after many hours had passed, the younger<\/span>
\npriest turned to the older man and said, “Please,<\/span>
\ntell me, how is it that you did what you did? \u00a0We<\/span>
\nare not allowed touch women and yet without any<\/span>
\nhesitation you carried her across the river.”<\/span>
\nThe older priest replied, “Yes, I picked her up,<\/span>
\nI carried her across the river and I put her<\/span>
\ndown…You, my son, are still carrying her”.<\/span><\/p>\n
